Hythe Regional School
Location:
10401 - 103 Street, Hythe, AB, approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Grande Prairie, AB. The school was recently modernized and the renovated building consists of 10 regular classrooms, 14 modular classrooms, two science labs, two computer labs, and an ECS room, gym, workout room, and library.

Grades:
Pre-K to Grade 9. Students attending Hythe Regional School (HRS) come from the communities of Valhalla Centre, Hythe, Beaverlodge, Lymburn, Demmitt, Kelly Lake and Horse Lake First Nations. Students leaving Beaverlodge Elementary at Grade 6 enter HRS as the regional junior high.
Special Features:
Each month, we host a short assembly to recognize students for a variety of reasons, including citizenship and athletics. After each term report card, we present academic achievement certificates to students.
We have an open door policy and encourage our parents to become involved with our School Council.
Programs:
French and Cree second language options are offered to Grades 4-9 students. The school provides Junior Kindergarten programming during three mornings per week and Kindergarten on three days per week, music, an attendance program, and a breakfast, lunch and snack program. Remedial reading is provided through Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI), Empower Reading and Toe by Toe.
Knowledge and Employability courses are available to students at Hythe Regional School for students in grades 8 & 9. This is a program developed by Alberta Education to provide students with the opportunity to be successful in school, and prepare them for employment.
